She graduated in Medicine from the University of Antwerp (Belgium) and completed her specialization in Ophthalmology at Antwerp University Hospital. She subsequently completed a fellowship in strabismus and worked for two years in a clinic specialized in pediatric ophthalmology. She also has training in cataract and refractive surgery.
